Office and Showroom Heating

Customer brief: to create a stylish and contemporary work environment

Nühaus chooses Herschel for new office and showroom heating

When it comes to re-modelling your home, building an extension, or planning a new build, NÜHAUS excels – combining architectural design and construction functions as a complete package under one roof.

From design, planning, financing and construction, the NUHAUS team includes architectural designers, engineers, quantity surveyors and project managers – all with one goal in mind – to deliver your vision exactly the way you see it.

Due to continued expansion, Nühaus recently moved to a new office facility at the North West Business Park, Dublin 15. The team applied the highest standards of design and construction to create a contemporary and stylish work environment for the Nühaus team. A key element of the project was heating to maintain year round comfort, whilst also providing a showcase for customers to see best-in-class technology, fixtures and fittings.

After researching heating options, Nühaus contacted Herschel Infrared and the project scope, time-lines and programme were discussed during an initial meeting. Priorities for the heating system were ease of installation, high aesthetic value, affordability and partner support. Based on Herschel’s experience, product range and customer focus we were invited to prepare a full heating design for the new office building.

Alex Pankoff, Nühaus CEO explains “We issued our architectural drawings to Herschel who then prepared a detailed design. Based on site-specific heat loss calculations, a range of heater panel and space heater options were proposed in response to the specific requirements of different rooms and areas. Heater locations were agreed to ensure the heating system complimented the interior design and layout of the office. Herschel’s heated mirrors are perfect for bathrooms and shower rooms. Our meeting areas use heated blackboards which are great for our designers to sketch and record ideas on. The designer Pulsar makes a bold statement as customers enter the reception and compliments the interior design perfectly. Summit units are suspended above design workstations to heat where and when required. Ceiling mounted heater panels free up wall space and provide really comfortable heat.

Support from the Herschel team was exemplary throughout the project life-cycle. As our designs were refined, these were checked against heat loss calculations and we worked together to finalise the heating system specification. Herschel visited site to meet our M&E team in advance of installation, and maintained contact throughout, including site visits to ensure a hassle free programme. This is exactly how we deliver our own Design & Build projects, and we look forward to a long partnership with Herschel as we grow.”

The project was managed by Andy Baird, our Director of Renewables Integration.

“Nühaus were a pleasure to work with from the initial orientation meeting and throughout the project life-cycle. Because their design team is in-house, we had direct access to drawings and construction detail which enables accurate heat loss calculations to be prepared. The entire team has a very strong quality and value focus, and these shared values ensured seamless design and installation of the heating system. The new office is a brilliant showcase for the Nühaus approach to high quality Design & Build, and features a wide range of Herschel Infrared products. Their customers can see how effective and stylish Herschel Infrared heating is, and can choose Herschel for their own project with confidence.”

The official opening was on Friday 5th October 2018, when the Nühaus team welcomed customers and key partners to the new office. We’d like to wish the Nühaus team continued success. Herschel Blackboard heater shown below providing a practical, stylish solution for any office.
