Background

Cedar Nursery, Surrey, offers a new range of outdoor buildings which combine the latest in contemporary design with fantastic levels of insulation. They were looking for a discreet heating solution for customers to enable them to use the garden room all year round whilst allowing it to remain an energy efficient and cost effective building.

Solution

A Herschel Select XL white panel (600W) was ceiling mounted in the garden room and controlled using a thermostat.

The building stays comfortably warm during the winter season enabling the owner to enjoy full use of their garden room throughout the year.  The Select XL heater builds up heat in the space by warming everything in the room, rather than warming the air like convection heating which is less cost efficient.

The Select XL can be installed very quickly and easily, with minimal disruption, mess or upheaval. By ceiling mounting in this area, the owners ensured they maximised their full living space.
